Ashfur vs. Thrushpelt

Inspired off of this.
Does Ashfur have more fans than Thrushpelt? I have no clue... but if he does, that's sad.

An explanation why Ashfur's actions can NOT be justified with "he loved too much." Squirrelflight also DID NOT use him, nor did she act like a jerk to him, as fans claim. The AUTHORS stated that she did NOT use him to make Brambleclaw jealous, and it makes sense. Squirrelflight was just upset after having an argument with the cat loves most: Brabmleclaw, and she needed a supportive friend. Leafpool was busy with her medicine cat duties, and not to mention that they were somewhat detached during this time period, so Ashfur gave Squirrelflight the support she needed. She thought that she could love him, but she made a mistake, as many women do today. Feeling sorry, Squirrelflight hoped to maintain a friendship with him, but HE rejected HER, and thus began Ashfur's attempts to murder at least 4 cats. It's like Mapleshade, really, only Mapleshade got into the Dark Forest for the exact same deeds Ashfur wanted to do. I can't help but pity Mapleshade...

Thrushpelt was actually somewhat resented by Bluefur at first. He still loved her, and when she had kits, he didn't even try to know who the father was because he understood that she kept it secret for reasons. He offered to foster father the kits so no cat was suspicious, all for her. He didn't become this killer because of rejection, but rather settled with being friends, loving her all the while.

It's sad. I'm pretty sure there ARE more Assfur fans. I understand the ones who say he had more development and was a bit less boring, but the ones who defend his actions, (Trying to kill a leader, two warriors, one who was his apprentice, and a medicine cat)saying he loved too much, are ridiculous. It's nice to see someone else on the internet agree with this opinion. (The saddest part is that I really liked him before he went all psychopath...)
